Joshua Muller –
I went 1/2 a size smaller than my US street shoe size and its an ideal fit especially after they stretch.
I’m really pleased with the stiffness, I was considering a pair of Anasazi Pros for a while but I’m glad I got these instead as the quality of the straps and materials is really impressive.

My local shop talked me into trying them. They fit true to size and weโre great right out of the box. Weather you climbing trad or sport you are not going to go wrong.

Had them for 4 months now, really pleased. I bought them right about street shoe size, fit was just a hair tight out of the box, but they stretch just enough that now they’re quite comfortable; I can wear them for hours and be fine. Edging has been solid, they’re maybe on the stiff side of medium – I can still feel holds, not super sensitive but you get a decent a decent amount of support on small edges. They’re moderately aggressive. The toe is generally slim enough to fit into small pockets and cracks. Heel and toe hooking are fine for the style, if you’re really worried about that probably need to go much more aggressive. Build quality has been solid, they’re surprisingly light.
Overall, really pleased I sought them out. They’ve become my go-to shoe.

The UP Rise VCS has become my go to all rounder shoe. This shoe can do it all. Great fit right out of the box and a quality build. Lots of edging power, smears really well and strong heel and toe hooks with that amazingly sticky UP RH rubber.

I wear a size 13 and bought said size in these. Great friction on the wall. Shoes were tight at first (as they should be) but have molded to my foot and now feel perfect. I even experimented with another brand in a slightly bigger size but kept slipping off the wall. These are of fantastic quality and my go-to climbing shoes for the foreseeable future.

This is a great all around climbing shoe with an impressive build. I sized a 1/2 size down from my street shoe size and I do find them to be a little sloppy at times if I’m edging or toeing up on really tiny foot holds, but perhaps a full size down would have solved this problem. Overall I use these as my bouldering shoe cause they are so versatile.

I received my UP Rise VCS this week. I have to say that I am super excited about these shoes. I climbed 3 routes on vertical limestone yesterday and absolutely love them. The rubber felt very sticky and I feel the sensitivity and feel for the rock was just right. I have been climbing in LaSportiva for a few years and these new shoes also fit me better. Tight but not painful. I am a fan and super happy to find a shoe that will work well for me!

Comfortable right out of the box. I went a half size down from ss but could probably go another half.
I climb 4 days a week in a gym and outdoors and they have held up for nearly a year (with rotation). I’ve never blamed a fall on the shoe. Can’t go wrong with these in your bag.

Shoes’s use: limestone and granite multipitch routes.
I am Italian and despite here there are among the main manufacturers of climbing shoes, my foot has always been a five ten foot and so I leave you to imagine when Adidas has completely changed the design of their shoes, (in addition to closing the historic factory in USA!!!). I normally wear a 43, chose a 42 and for my foot it was the right choice. in my opinion it is an improved version of the anasazi vcs and I find the wider fit, more suitable for a foot like mine. I used it on a couple of vertical limestone multipitch routes and was very happy. Time will give its judgment on their durability, in the meantime, very good job UP!

For sizing reference, I bought a size 7 and I wear 8.5 – Evolv Zenist, 6 – Tenaya Mastia. Evolv is the tightest fitting and the Tenaya is the most similar. Would 100% recommend these to people with a wider foot like me.
Great shoe out of the box! Felt very confident on every boulder, sent some hard blocks on these already as well as a little multi-pitch. I would say I could have gone down another half size for a tighter fit for performance, but likely unnecessary. Right now my toes are only slightly curled and it is a very comfortable fit.

I’m Italian, for years I’ve used the vcs and since I found out who was making the new unparallel I was happy.
I do a lot of trad climbing in Italy and the Anasazi mocc and vcs have always served me well.
I took the exact size of my 7.5 street shoe just for use in the crack.
As soon as I get back to the US I’m going to get a pair of up moccs as a finger crack shoe.
Excellent product and very competitively priced.
Well done
